هذا الكتاب سيكون دليلا وعونا لنا كأبناء، لتعريفنا بكيفية الإحسان لوالدينا، سواء كانوا أصحاء أو مرضى أو توفاهما الله علما بأنني جمعت بين دفتيه كل الآليات العملية التي تعرفت عليها من قراءاتي ومن تجربتي الشخصية مع والدي حفظهما الله، والتي لاحظت أنها تسهل علينا الإحسان إليهما وتجعل رحلتنا معهما أجدى وأغنى. ونظرا لأننا قد نواجه تحديات ونحن نقوم برعايتهما، حرصت في هذا الكتاب على عرض معظمها وبيان سبل معالجتها مع سرد قصص من الواقع يمكنها أن ترشدنا لما نصبو إليه، جمعتها من تجارب من سبقنا، على أمل أن يكون إحساننا منهجا مباركا لكسب رضا الله تعالى علينا، وأسلوبا فعالا يمكننا من احتضان والدينا في جميع مراحل عمرهما وظروفهما بكل محبة واهتمام كما يستحقان منا ويليق بهما، وفرصة لنا للاستمتاع معهما فيما تبقى لنا ولهما من أوقات، على هذه المعمورة.
