سنترك للقارئ اكتشاف أهمية هذه الرسالة التي أرسنت من مصر إلى عدن في عام 4 / 1173 م، وبالرغم من أن ابن ميمون يبالغ في مدح يهود اليمن في عصره، لكن من الواضح أنه كان على دراية باليهود اليمنيين، وتوصل إلى أنهم حافظوا على التزام صارم بالقوانين والعادات اليهودية قبل أن تنتشر كتاباته في جميع أنحاء اليمن بوقت طويل في رسالته إلى اليمن، يشدد على حالة المعرفة العالية وكفاءة يهود اليمن لكن للأسف، فقدت القافية المستخدمة في آياته في الترجمة، وفي النهاية نقول كما يقول المثل اليهودي.. ما بعد موسى إلا موسى.
