الكتابة عن الصوفية أو الروحانيات في الإسلام تكاد تكون مستحيلة فمن أول خطوة يخطوها سالك هذا الطريق يرى أمامه تلالا ممتدة وهضابا وعرة لا يزداد بالسير فيها إلا استصعابا للوصول إلى أي غاية فيقف عند شعراء الصوفية من الفرس متلكئا في واحة حدائق أزهارهم أو يحاول تسلق القمم الثلجية لجبال التأملات الفلسفية النظرية أو يبقى في سهول العامة و تعظيمهم للأولياء أو يحاول أن يأخذ برسن راحلته الى صحراء لا متناهية من الكتابات النظرية عن طبيعة التصوف وعن ذات الله وعن جوهر العالم أو يكتفي بالقاء نظرة على الطبيعة والاستمتاع بجمال القمم العالية تغسلها أشعة الشمس في صباح باكر أو تتلون بحمرة الشفق في مساء بارد.
