ينقسم هذا الكتاب لأربعة فصول وفي كل منها يستعرض الكاتب ويوضح تدريجيا شيئا من حقيقة اليهود وتاريخهم والعادات والطبائع، ويوضح أيضا التحولات التي مر بها دينهم ويختم بالآداب العبرية لليهود التي جاءت في أسفارهم، فقد كان قيام الدول ونشأة القوميات ناقوس خطر للجماعات اليهودية في أوروبا، حيث شيدت الدول الحديثة على أساس عرقي ولم يستوعب اليهود الذين عاشوا منعزلين في \"الجيتو اليهودي\" وقد أكد الكتاب أن الروح القومية اليهودية لم تدرك المثل العليا للحرية والعقل وأن شعائرها بدائية ولا عقلانية ووصفهم بأبشع الصفات، نافيا أي دور لهم في نشأة الحضارات القديمة.
