إن الذي يهمنا مما أورده المؤلف حاجي مصطفى بن ملا رضوان البغدادي الشهير بمداح عم الرسول، من أحداث ووقائع في المخطوطة التي حملت عنوانا \"تاريخ فتح نامة بغداد\" والتي عثرت عليها في مكتبة جامعة أكسفورد هو ما يتعلق بولاية بغداد، أما غير ذلك فقد اكتفينا بالإشارة إليه فقط، ولذا بدأنا اقتباس أحداث سنة 1004 هـ / 1596 م. إذ يتعرض المخطوط لظهور أوزون أحمد أوغلو. أما ترقيم المخطوط فقد قمنا بترقيمه بشكل متسلسل من الرقم (1) إلى آخره على هامش الصفحات. إن كتب الفتوح عادة إذا ما قورنت بالتواريخ المحلية نجد أنها تحوي الكثير من المعلومات الضرورية المهمة، التي أغفلتها تلك التواريخ. ولقد حمل ذلك الدكتور محمد حرب للحديث عن أهمية كتب الفتوحات العثمانية في دراسة تاريخ المنطقة.
