يقدم الكتاب لكتالوج الأعمال الفائزة في المسابقة الدولية الثامنة التي أجراها المركز باسم خطاط بلاد الشام الراحل الأستاذ محمد بدوي الديراني (1312-1387 هـ / 1894-1967 م). وقد شارك فيها 683 خطاطا من 31 دولة بـ 969 لوحة في الأنواع العشرة التي أجريت بها المسابقة، وهي : الثلث الجلي، الثلث، النسخ، التعليق الجلي التعليق الديواني الجلي الديواني، الكوفي، الرقعة، المغربي) وفاز بجوائزها البالغ عددها 68 جائزة ومكافأة بقيمة 126,500 دولارا أمريكيا)، 64 خطاطا من خمس عشرة دولة في العالم.
