تصدى هذا الكتاب لأحد أهم قضايا المجتمع العالمي في القرن الحادي والعشرين، والتي أطلق عليه العديد من المصطلحات لعل من أهمها مجتمع 5.0، ومجتمع المعرفة، ومجتمع ما بعد الحداثة، حيث قامت العديد من الأدبيات بتقسيم المجتمع العالمي منذ بدء الخليقة إلى مجتمع 1.0 ثم مجتمع 2.0 ثم مجتمع 3.0 ثم مجتمع 4.0 تم مجتمع 5.0، وهناك العديد من الأدبيات قامت بتقسيم المجتمع العالمي إلى مجتمع الصيد وتربية الحيوانات ثم المجتمع الزراعي ثم المجتمع الصناعي ثم المجتمع الصناعي ثم المجتمع التكنولوجي ثم المجتمع المعلوماتي تم مجتمع المعرفة وهناك من الأدبيات ما قامت بتقسيم المجتمع العالمي إلى مجتمع ما قبل الحداثة إلى مجتمع الحداثة ثم مجتمع ما بعد الحداثة.
