يتناول وصف الجنة وأحوال أهلها من المؤمنين والمسلمين، استنادا إلى القرآن الكريم والأحاديث النبوية والآثار عن الصحابة والتابعين وكتاب الفقهاء والأئمة، وقد وضعه المؤلف في 38 بابا. ويخبرنا محقق الكتاب بأنه يعتقد أن هذا الكتاب هو جزء من كتاب كبير، وسبب هذا الاعتقاد أن المؤلف لم يقدم لكتابه بتمهيد أو تقديم ولم يعرف بالكتاب وبما قام به، بل يبدأ مباشرة بذكر الأحاديث والآثار حول الموضوع. وقد حرص المحقق قدر طاقته على تنقية النص من الأخطاء والكلمات الكثيرة التي وجدت، غير واضحة أو مطموسة والتي لم يكن من السهل توضيحها وفهمها.
