لا شك أن الشرك ومظاهره داخل في باب العقائد، ولا تصح العبادة إلا بصحة العقيدة والإيمان؛ وهذا ما جعل مكانتها عظيمة، فسماها العلماء بالفقه الأكبر. ولقد أفرد علماء الإسلام لذلك تصانيف جمعوا فيها أصول علم العقيدة وبينوا فيها الحق من الزيغ حيث قاموا بتبيين العقيدة الصحيحة بأدلتها والرد على من خالفها من العقائد والتيارات الفكرية فأفردوا لذلك شروح ومختصرات ومتون لتسهيل دراستها وتقريبها لطلاب العلم وللعوام. ومما لا يخفى على أحد أن \"أم البراهين\" أو ما تسمى بالسنوسية للشيخ محمد بن يوسف السنوسي (ت 895 هـ) هي من أجل العقائد ولقد أتى كثير من العلماء على شرحها وذكر الحواشي عليها. وكتابنا هذا للشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي (ت 1143 هـ) هو أحد الكتب التي قامت بشرح هذه العقيدة وبهذا تظهر منزلته ومكانته. ولتمام الفائدة فقد ألحقنا بهذا الكتاب منظومة \"النفحة الزكية لنظم العقيدة السنوسية لبرهان الدين بن إبراهيم الناشري (ت بعد 978 هـ) ولعل مجيء هذا الكتاب على شكل نظم كان قصد تسهيل حفظها على الطلاب والعامة، وبذلك فإن هذا النظم جمع أمرين مهمين يحتاجهما طلاب العلم والعامة من الناس هما : أولا : تلخيص هذا العلم في أبيات معلومة تغني الطالب عن كثرة البحث وتجنبه الدخول في متاهات من المصطلحات والمفردات التي قد يجد نفسه عاجزا عن إدراكها. ثانيا : وضعها في أبيات يسهل حفظها واسترجاعها عند احتياجها خصوصا أنه من عادة العلماء والمتعلمين استحضار الشواهد عند الاستدلال.
