يؤرخ كتابنا هذا والموسوم بـ تراجم\" علماء الحرمين الستة\" سيرا جليلة وأعمالا جد جميلة، لستة علماء أجلاء ثلاثة منهم من مكة المكرمة، والثلاثة الأواخر من المدينة المنورة، والغاية منه هي الاطلاع والاتباع لمعرفة نجوم العلم، وكواكب السماء، المتألقة في الليلة الظلماء، لأن المحزن أن التوافه-التي لا تخلو منها كل المجتمعات سواء العربية أو الغربية-يتألقون في كل ميدان ويبرزون بكل الوسائل، ويشهر بهم في كل حين وأوان ؛ وإذا التفتنا إلى أمتنا، وكتابها الأماثل، فنجدهم لا يفعلون شيئا إزاء هذا التيار الجارف الزاحف في سبيل الإشهار الخادع أو الكاذب بل الصاخب أحيانا، فالعقلاء والفضلاء من أمتنا لا يحركون ساكنا، ولا يمتعضون مما يشاهدون، أو يسمعون، أو يقرؤون ؛ بل لا يساهمون في التعريف بالأخيار من أمتنا، لا بالكتابة، ولا الإنفاق بالمال، ولا بالقراءة والبحث عنهم حتى فكان من اللازم ظهور مثل هذا الكتاب وغيره.
