يتناول كتاب (الحسبة في الإسلام أو وظيفة الحكومة الإسلامية) والذي قام بتأليفه أحمد بن عبد الحليم بن تيمية، موضوع (الحسبة) الكتاب يشرح فيه ابن تيمية وظيفة الحكومة الإسلامية، وأن الحسبة في الإسلام أو الحكومة الإسلامية تنطلق من مفهوم أساسي مقصده وغايته أن يكون الدين كله لله، وأن تكون كلمة الله هي العليا والقاعدة التي يجب أن يؤسس عليها الحكم في الدولة الإسلامية، فكانت المسائل التي بحثها ولهذا الغرض هي التالية : مسألة الحسبة، الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر، الولاية البدع المخالفة للكتاب والسنة، إقامة الحدود، العقوبات المالية، التغيير، الثواب والعقاب من جنس العمل، في الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر، العلم والعمل.
