يسعى المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلى التعرف إلى حقيقة التعليم، وتبين عوائق الابداع وموانع التفكير، مع بيان ما عساه أن يفك قيود الفكر ويمهد سبيل الابداع، وذلك من خلال النظر في أساليب التعليم، إذ هي المؤمل أن تقدح الملكات وتحفز المواهب، ولكون التعليم لا يحصل إلا بكفايات فقد سعى إلى تدبر ما من شأنه أن يجعل التعلم مجديا، ولا سيما أن متعلم اليوم يشهد انفجارا معرفيا وثورة معلوماتية، ويعيش عصرا رقميا أحدث تغيرات مجتمعية لا تنكر. فلا عجب أن يكون التعليم على الحقيقة تعلما، إذ لا تنفك المعرفة عن نزوع داخلي ورغبة ذاتية، وهو ما يجعل التعلم ابداعا في أصله، إذ لا يخلو من تكييف ذاتي للمعرفة وتمثل لها على نحو خاص.
