كتاب في الأدب والشعر، جمع فيه الشاعر الأديب أبو تمام نقائض جرير والأخطل، حيث أنهما من ألمع شعراء عصرهم والعصور الأخرى، وقد اجتمعا في قصور الخلفاء فكان لا بد لكل واحد منهما أن يجيب صاحبه على قصيدة ألفها، فكان أن حصل الشعر أروع كتابة وأدق صياغة في تاريخه، ولشدة إعجاب أبي تمام به قام بجمعه في هذا الكتاب.
