يتناول كتاب (علم الحديث) والذي قام بتأليفه الإمام أحمد بن تيمية، موضوع (علم الحديث) الكتاب جمع فيه ابن تيمية مقاصد هذا العلم وفوائده، وأقسام الحديث، وأنواع الرواية وأسماء الأنواع، ومعنى حديث حسن، أو مرسل، أو غريب، مع بيان معنى شرط البخاري ومسلم، عدة الأحاديث المتواترة، احتجاج بعض الفقهاء بأحاديث وهي باطلة، وحكم من نسخ القرآن وكتب السنة، وصفة الأولياء في السنة، والأذكار الثلاثة، وأكبر الكبائر، كذلك موقف العلماء من القصاصين، ويوضح المهلكات والمنجيات، وذكر بعض أحاديث يرويها القصاص وغيرهم بالطريق وغيرها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
