هذا الكتاب هو سجل ثورة العشرين في سامراء وما حولها من العشائر العربية، التي سجلت بأحرف من نور تاريخها المجيد \" بمقاومة الاحتلال الانكليزي للعراق في أول أيامه، ولهم المفاخر والبطولات العظيمة في ثورة العشرين. اعتمد في تأليفه على أهم المصادر العربية والاجنبية والجرائد القديمة التي سجلت أحداث المقاومة منذ دخول المحتل العراق الى ثورة العشرين، والمقابلات مع أولاد وأحفاد الذين شاركوا في هذه الثورة والذين رووا عن آبائهم وأجدادهم أحداثها بكل صدق وأمانة، وضم صورهم ليكونوا شهود على ما قاله آبائهم وأجدادهم. إن هذه الثورة عراقية وطنية لم تكن مختصة بطائفة أو قومية دون اخرى وهذا ما سيجده القارئ من خلال طيات هذا الكتاب.
