هذه الأوراق المصرية : في المطابع الفقيرة في عمق الأحياء الشعبية المكتظة بالبيوت وبالبشر، في حضن البسطاء الدافىء، وبعيدا عن أعين كلاب الصيد وبنادق مدمري الثقافة، المخططين للاستلاب والاغتراب وبيع الاستقلال الوطني ومحو الشخصية القومية .. في ظل ظروف صعبة ومظلمة، في صمود باسل وإصرار نبتت هذه الأوراق المصرية. في ساحة الفقراء وبقروش الفقراء وللفقراء .. نمت .. وبجهودهم ارتوت فاخضرت وأينعت صحافة الفقراء .. كانت البداية غاية في التواضع .. مجرد قصيدة تكتب باليد ثم تصور .. لتنتشر ويعاد طبعها مرات .. أو قصة ينسخ منها صاحبها عدة صور للأصدقاء .. وكان ذلك اكتشافا .. فبالرغم من كل الأبواب المغلقة يمكن أن نصنع نافذة نصرخ من خلاها .. نحن مازلنا هنا وسنبقى ..
