توجد اختلافات بين الأديان في طبيعة الوحي ووسائله. كما توجد أشكال متنوعة للوحي. منها أسلوب الوحي في التقليد اليهودي-المسيحي-الإسلامي. وهناك اختلافات ليست بالقليلة بين الديانات الإبراهيمية التي تنتمي إلى مسار واحد من حيث النشأة. لكنها اتخذت أثناء نموها وتجليها في التاريخ طبائع مختلفة تصل أحيانا إلى حد التعارض. وتقدم بعض الأديان الأخرى في إطار مختلف تعاليمها كوحي سماوي. إلا أنها تنسب أمر تسليمها إلى مؤسس أسطوري أو خرافي كهرمس الذي تنسب إليه مجموعة التعاليم الدينية والفلسفية السرية. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى كشف اللثام عن أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بينها. مع بيان التأسيس الفلسفي والإشراقي للنبوة ؛ للكشف عن طبيعة أنماط الوحي في ضوء منهج تحليلي مقارن للنصوص.
