يبين هذا الكتاب معنى التناص في الشعر السوري المعاصر، حيث مع ظهور مفهوم التناص عند جوليا كريستيفا عام 1965، أصبح الحديث عن كتابة تبدأ من درجة الصفر، وتؤسس لكتابة جديدة بالمعنى الحرفي للكلمة أمرا متعذرا، إذ إن كل كتاب لابد أن تنشأ عند تخوم كتابة أخرى، وتتقاطع في فضائها، أصوات عديدة لكتابات سابقة عليها، أو معاصرة لها. من التراث الثقافي الذي تنتمي إليه، أو من التراث الثقافي العالمي. وكان من أهم الموضوعات التي تناولها الكتاب : التناص في الشعر السوري المعاصر، التناص في شعر محمد عمران، رمزية المرأة في شعر علي الجندي، تجربة المدينة في الشعر السوري المعاصر علي كنعان نموذجا، مقاربات أولوية للخطاب الشعري عند فايز خضور.
