لعل هذه الحكاية الصغيرة المعبرة تضعنا في قلب عالم تحسين يوجل القصصي كما نراه في القصص الخمس التي تتكون منها مجموعته المنشورة في العام ١٩٨٩ تحت عنوان (قصص مضادة). خمس قصص طويلة أقرب ما تكون إلى روايات مضغوطة، وتكاد تشكل أجزاء من كل واحد. بموضوعها وأسلوبها ولغتها، حيث تتناول كل واحدة منها جانبا من جوانب نظام شمولي شديد الوطأة بمستوياته الإيديولوجية والسياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية. فهي من أجمل القصص التي لها مكانة خاصة في ميدان القصة القصيرة في تركيا. وهي تبدو للوهلة الأولى صعبة أمام القارئ، ولكن ما أن ينغمس هذا في القراءة، حتى تشده وليمة ذكاء وقدرة خيال لا تصدق وسخرية لاذعة، لا يمكن معها ترك الكتاب قبل الإنتهاء منه.
