في كتاب (إفريقيا الغربية في ظل الإسلام) يقول ( نعيم قداح) أنه أتيح لي في عام 1960، أن أعمل في إفريقيا الغربية مدرسا للعربية في جمهورية غينيا. وقد لاحظت إبان إقامتي وتجوالي في تلك الربوع في كونا كري ودكار وباماكو وطوه وكتو ... الأثر الكبير الذي طبعت به الحضارة العربية الإسلامية شعوب تلك المنطقة التي دانت بالإسلام، فسما شأنها وتميزت عن غيرها من الشعوب التي كانت منها والتي بقيت على وثنينها، فلم تفد من المدنية الإسلامية، فظلت بدائية متأخرة.
