ظل الكاتب طوال حياته يحلم بأن يكتب الكتاب الأجمل ثم أعلن أن الكتاب الأجمل هو الذي يبقى أحيانا غير مكتوب. وهذا الكتاب يسرد مجموعة مختارة من القصص العالمية التي كتبها أنجل كارليتشف وهي : ليلة مثلجة : لم يكونوا أطفالا اذكياء فصنعوا رجلا غير كامل من الثلج. بدلا من الأنف غرزوا له قرنا من الفليفلة الحمراء، فراح يلهث مثل الكلب، ووضعوا على رأسه قبعة قديمة مبعوجة كي يتهوى دماغه... وقصة غزالة : حين بدأوا يصطادونهم كان كوستار ينجر قبضة للمحراث على البيدر تحت الاجاصة الريانة..... وقصة ربيع وغرانيت وخبازي وشقيقتان وتنين والأحب إليه وحويض الرصاصة والصياد والحجلة وعدل من القرع ومن النافذة وقطعة خبز سوداء صغيرة وقطعة النقد الصغيرة.
