لقد طلب مني العديد من الأصدقاء كتابة سيرتي الذاتية ومن المؤكد أن الأهمية الجديدة التي أوليت إلى المؤلف هي السبب في هذا الفضول إذ لم يعد يكفيهم معرفة أن مؤلفا سينمائيا قد عبر عن ذاته بملء حريته سأختار من ذكرياتي تلك التي تتعلق بكائنات إنسانية أو بأحداث أعتقد أنها ساهمت في أن تجعل مني ما أنا عليه الآن، ويتناول الكتاب مالك سينيت، زيارة إلى مخازن دوفاييل الكبير، ثوب جملي، ماغنيوسك، مشرح العرائس، فرسان الحرس الملكي وغيرها.
