يتناول كتاب \"إشكالية معيار قابلية التكذيب عند كارل بوبر في النظرية والتطبيق\" للمؤلف ماهر اختيار دراسة نقدية لفلسفة كارل بوبر العلمية، وخصوصا مبدأ \"قابلية التكذيب\" الذي يعد أحد الأسس الرئيسية في منهج بوبر لتقييم النظريات العلمية ويركز الكتاب على الإشكاليات التي تنشأ من تطبيق هذا المعيار على أرض الواقع وكيفية تأثيره على تطوير المعرفة العلمية ويحلل المؤلف فكرة أن النظريات العلمية يجب أن تكون قابلة للاختبار والتكذيب حتى تعتبر علمية ويعرض التحديات التي تواجه هذا المبدأ عند التعامل مع النظريات المعقدة أو غير القابلة للاختبار بسهولة، مثل بعض النظريات في العلوم الاجتماعية أو الفلسفة ويناقش الكتاب أيضا تأثير معيار بوبر على تطور البحث العلمي وتقييمه.
