Overview
قد جاء جمع الديوان وتحقيقه على معايير علمية قويمة، تقوم على تحقيق نسبة الإشعار إلى أصحابها، ومعالجة الاختلاف في أنساب الشعراء وكناهم وألقابهم على نحو تنضبط به نسبة الشعر إلى أصحابه، فضلا عن ذكر اختلافات الرواية في الشعر، وترجيح الأصوب منها، ومعالجة التصحيف والتحريف والخلل في بعض الوزن والإشارة إلى ذلك في مواضعه. وإن الهيئة العامة السورية للكتاب تقدم هذا الديوان ليكون صورة-حية للمكانة الأدبية التي وصل إليها الشعر العربي في تلك الجزيرة التي بسط العرب نفوذهم عليها قرونا طويلة نشروا فيها العلم والأدب والحضارة على اختلاف مستوياتها.
