يمثل الكتاب شهادة في حق الشاعر الراحل وتوثيقا لمجمل حواراته وندواته الصحفية حيث ضم أكثر من 31 حوارا ولقاء بالإضافة إلى ملف للصور مع العديد من الأدباء والمفكرين والإعلاميين وصور خاصة تتعلق بمسيرة حياته. ويمثل الكتاب أول محاولة لنبش تراث عدوان ووقفة وفاء له ولما قدمه مع جيل الستينيات في سوريا، في الشعر والرواية والمسرح والصحافة، حيث ظل رغم المرض وحتى في أيامه الأخيرة يشتغل في حقل الإبداع متطلعا إلى الحياة بقوة وشجاعة دونما ترنح أو جزع مستخدما كل أساليبه المعروفة في قتل الوجع. ويحاول المؤلف أن يقدم في صفحاته الراحل كمتمرد على ناموس الحياة المليء بالظلم والاستعباد، فقد كان الأديب الراحل مشاغبا أدبيا لكنه كان ناضجا في مشاكسته يستخدم سلاحه بعمق رؤية وبعد فلسفي حتى في معالجاته.
