أهل بكين عنوان بارز من أعمال تساويو المسرحية، تدور أحداث المسرحية في مدينة بكين، وهي عبارة عن دراما ترصد التفاصيل اليومية في حياة أسرة إقطاعية وصفها تساويو بـ \"أسرة فئران في مجتمع فئران، يقتاتون على كل شيء، ويتلفون كل شيء، ولا يعملون أي شيء\" !. تمثل المسرحية المحطة الأكثر نضجا وحكمة في حياة تساويو. كتبها في أثناء حرب بلاده مع اليابان انطلاقا من أن معرفة المجتمع داخليا، وفضح مظاهر تخلفه والفساد فيه يجعلان الانتصار في المعركة الخارجية مع العدو ممكنا وحتميا.
