كان دخول الإسلام إلى أرض الأندلس فتحا مبینا ونصرا عظیما توسعت به بلاد الإسلام ورفعت به رايات الحق والعدل بین الأنام وأزدادت به أعداد الأمة الإسلامیة حتى خفقت أعلامھا غربا إلى حدود فرنسا ولما بسط الإسلام على ھذه الربوع رداءه ومكن له في نفوس أھلھا تمكینا عظیما أقبل نفر من أھل الأندلس على طلب علوم الإسلام من تفسیر وحديث وفقه وأصول وغیر ذلك فأنشأ الله من ھذا النفر المبارك جیلا من العلماء النبلاء الذين تمیزوا بالفھم والنباھة والفضل والنجابة والسؤدد والجلالة ورثوا ھذا العلم الشريف أبناءھم وفلذات أكبادھم فتسلسل فیھم أبا عن جد وخلفا عن سلف ولاحقا عن سابق وھكذا، ظھر ما يسنى بـالبیوتات العلمیة الأندلسیة في قرطبة وإشبیلیة وغرناطة وغیرھا من الحواضر المشھورة في إسبانیا الإسلامیة.
