يبدأ هذا الكتاب بمقدمة تتناول فيها دكتورة رانيا يحيى نبذة عن القيمة الفنية لهذا المخرج العبقري \"صلاح أبو سيف\" ثم تمهيد تستعرض فيها إبداعات مشوار أبو سيف ويرتكز اهتمامها هنا على المؤلفين الموسيقيين الذى تعامل معهم أثناء مسيرته، كذلك تقص فكرتها في هذا الكتاب بإيجاز، وقسمت المؤلفة الكتاب لخمسة أقسام الأول عنوانه صلاح أبو سيف والسينما وتطرقت فيه الكاتبة للحديث عن الموسيقى والسينما منذ البدايات وموسيقى الأفلام في مصر، ثم أفردت جزءا عن أبو سيف ونشأته وبداية عشقه لفن السينما وكيف تحقق له هذا الحلم، وأهم الشخصيات التي أثرت في حياته وكذلك آراء بعض النقاد والسينمائيين الذين تعاملوا معه.
