روى الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي في هذا الكتاب قصة رجل يدعى كريم خان زند، وهي قبيلة زند الكردية في لورستان، وأصبح أحد قادة نادر شاه العسكريين. وقد نال ذلك العرش بتتويج حفيد آخر الملوك الصفويين القاصر، وعين نفسه وصياً عليه، حتى إذا ما تمكن من الحكم، أزاح ذلك الملك القاصر الذي عينه، وبذلك أصبح كريم خان زند \"ملكا\" على فارس. لكن ورثته من أمراء الزند، قاموا بصراع فيما بينهم، حتى زال الملك عنهم.
