الكتاب عبارة عن مجموعة من الأحداث ذات الصلة بمصر وأهلها، تضم ذكريات عزيزة، ويروي فيها الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي أحداثا عاشها ومواقف عايشها بمداد من الوفاء ومن ذاكرة القلم، وفاء بحق مصر عليه وإبرازا لمكانتها لديه، وقد رواها بأسلوب سردي فذ تخالطه المشاعر والعواطف الصادقة. من بين هذه الذكريات يكشف الشيخ سلطان أنه عمل قبل مجيئه للدراسة في مصر مراسلا صحفيا سريا لمجلة \"آخر ساعة\" عام 1957، عندما كان لاعبا في فريق كرة القدم التابع للقاعدة البريطانية في الشارقة، والتي كانت آنذاك إحدى الإمارات المتصالحة في منطقة الخليج.
