تناول هذا النص الأزمة المالية العالمية مسلطا الضوء على أزمة الرهونات العقارية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية باعتبارها سببا للأزمة التي بلغت تقديراتها الأولية أكثر من 3.6 ترلبون دولار وهو ما انعكس على النمو الاقتصادي الأمريكي التي دخل منذ العام 2007 في حالة انكماش وربما كساد ويعني النص بتحديد تداعيات هذه الأزمة على الاقتصادات العربية من ذلك ما شهده الاقتصاد التونسي والأزمة المالية في دبي، وتفشي ثقافة الفساد في العالم وفي البلدان العربية حيث الهدر للثروات الوطنية أدى إلى تزايد في الفجوات الاجتماعية كما ساهمت هذه الثقافة في ضرب الاقتصاد الإنتاجي.
