\"سجلات الملايو\" هو عمل أدبي يقدم تاريخا رومانسيا في حكايات أسطورية عن أصول نسل ملوك وسلاطين الملايو، ثم يحكي تطور وزوال إمبراطورية الملايو البحرية العظيمة، والمعروفة باسم \"سلطنة ملقا\" على أيدي الغزاة البرتغاليين في مطلع القرن السادس عشر. هذا الكتاب هو واحد من أفضل الأعمال الأدبية والتاريخية في لغة وآداب الملايو، إن لم يكن أفضلها. ويرجع تاريخ أقدم نسخة مخطوطة معروفة لنا إلى العام 1612، وهو ليس انجازا أدبيا فحسب، بل يعد أيضا كتابا عن فن الحكم في الممالك القديمة.
