يعد هذا الكتاب متناً تراثياً نادراً في مجال الطب الشرعي، من تأليف الطبيب الفقيه جمال الدين داود الدمشقي الحنبلي، أحد علماء القرن الثامن الهجري. يجمع الكتاب بين المعرفة الطبية التطبيقية وبين الهدي النبوي في التداوي، حيث يستعرض المؤلف الأحاديث والآثار الواردة عن النبي في علاج الأمراض، والوقاية منها، وتنظيم الغذاء والشراب. ما يميز هذا العمل هو خلفية المؤلف كونه \"متطبباً\" (مارس مهنة الطب) وفقيهاً في آن واحد، مما أتاح له شرح الأدوية النبوية وتفسيرها من منظور طبي وعلمي معاصر لزمانه. قامت مكتبة البابطين المركزية للشعر العربي بإعداد هذا العمل وإخراجه للنور، محققةً بذلك إضافة نوعية للمكتبة الإسلامية والتراثية عبر إحياء هذا المخطوط الذي يبرز دور العلماء المسلمين في المزاوجة بين النقل والعقل في علوم الطب.
