يقدم الكتاب دراسة استراتيجية تحليلية لواقع الطرق الصوفية في القارة الآسيوية، مستعرضاً أدوارها المتعددة في المشهد المعاصر. يبحث العمل في ثلاثة محاور رئيسية: الأول يتناول الجانب الدعوي والاجتماعي للصوفية وقدرتها على التغلغل في المجتمعات المحلية، والثاني يحلل انخراط الحركات الصوفية في العملية السياسية وبناء التحالفات مع الأنظمة أو معارضتها، أما المحور الثالث فيناقش علاقة الصوفية بظاهرة التطرف والإرهاب، سواء كحائط صد فكري ضد الأيديولوجيات المتشددة أو من خلال التحولات الراديكالية التي طرأت على بعض فصائلها في مناطق النزاع. يغطي الكتاب نطاقاً جغرافياً واسعاً يشمل وسط وجنوب شرق آسيا، مع تقديم رؤية استشرافية لمستقبل التصوف السياسي في المنطقة.
