يتحدث الكتاب عن شخصية استثنائية موسى بن ميمون الحبر والفيلسوف والطبيب الأكثر شهرة في عصره يناقش الكتاب سيرة حياته و كتبه ولد في عائلة يهودية عريقة من يهود قرطبة بحدود عام 1035 حيث كانت هذه المدينة من أهم مدن الأندلس وأكثرها أزدهارا يتناول الكاتب حياته منذ نشأته ثم يعرض الكاتب قصة إسلام موسى ابن ميمون (هل أسلم سرا-هل أجبر على الإسلام وعاد الى يهوديته في مصر-أم أنه لم يغير دينه و لو فترة وجيزة وظل ثابتا عليه عرض أدلة وشواهد كثيرة يتناول الكاتب أيضا أعمال موسى بن ميمون وكتاباته وما قدمه من أعمال خلال حياته وحتى وفاته.
