تعد الإنتخابات النمط الأكثر شيوعا المشاركة المواطنين في الحياة السياسية من خلال إختيار ممثليهم في ممارسة السلطة، تعد الإنتخابات النمط الأكثر شيوعا ولاحقا لها، وتعد الحملات الإنتخابية ومنها ما يكون معاصرا فالعملية الإنتخابية تمر بمراحل، منها ما يكون سابقا أو ممهدا مرحلة مهمة تسبق العملية الإنتخابية، إذ يقع على عاتق الدولة، أن تضع من الضمانات وأن تسن من التشريعات ما يكفل ممارسة تلك الحملات، بحرية ونزاهة وأن تحترم إرادة الناخبين أثنائها، ولا ننسى إشكالية مصادر التمويل لتلك الحملات، على إرادة ووطنية المرشح بعد الفوز بالإنتخابات، كونه يعمل وفق إملاءات ومصالح جهات التمويل، ومن بالغا التي لها أثرا ثم لا بد من بسط رقابة فعالة على للحيلولة دون ذلك.
