في هذا الكتاب الجديد، يرى فاضل الربيعي إن (تحرير الأرض-أي أرض محتلة) سيظل لعقود طويلة وباستمرار، أخف وطأة وكلفة من تحرير عقول البشر من الأكاذيب التي زرعت بشكل ممنهج في ذاكرتهم المنهوبة. قد يتمكن البشر الذين يقعون ضحية الاستعمار من تحرير أرضهم يوما ما، لكنهم قد لا يفلحون قط في اقتلاع الترهات التي زرعها المستعمر في عقول أجيال وأجيال. هذا هو جوهر نظرية الكتاب الجديد الذي يقدمه فاضل الربيعي لقرائه. بهذا المعنى أيضا، تبدو قراءته استثنائية، فهو يرى أن نظام التعليم في الشرق الأوسط أرسى فهما خاطئا النقوش الآشورية والسبأية اليمنية القديمة، حين درج الباحثون والدارسون للتاريخ الآشوري، مثلا على تخيل الأحداث.
