قانون أصول المحاكمات الجزائية، هو القانون الذي تم بموجبه تنظيم إجراءات الملاحقة الجزائية والمحاكمة وكيفية السير بها وقد مضى على صدور قانون أصول المحاكمات الجزائية اللبناني القديم أكثر من خمسين سنة وبقي على حاله التي صدر فيها حتى العام 2001 دون أن تطرأ عليه تعديلات جذرية إذ أن التعديلات التي أدخلت لم تكن بمستوى ما يتمناه رجل القانون وبمستوى ما تقتضيه الحاجة العصرية.
