هذا الكتاب دراسة نحوية ذكر فيها المؤلف معالم اهتمام القراء بالجملة فذكر مصطلحات الجملة عند الفراء وإعراب الجمل ذوات المحل وإعراب الجمل التي ليس لها محل في الأعراب ورغم صغر الكتاب إلا أنه نال أهمية في ميدان الدراسات النحوية إذ صحح كثيراً من المفاهيم الخاطئة بموضوع الجملة وأثبت أن الفراء هو أول من استخدم مصطلح الجملة والموضوع بمعناها الاصطلاحي وغير ذلك.
