يتحدث الكتاب عن سيرة أحد علماء القطيف هو الشيخ محمد آل عبد الجبار القطيفي البحراني سليل الأسرة العلمية وأحد أعلام القرن الثالث عشر الذي فاقت شهرته العلمية إقليم البحرين وتعدته لإيران والعراق وتفرقت مصنفاته بينهم والكثير منها وقف علماء علمائهم والذي فاقت مصنفاته عن 130 مصنفا بين رسالة قصيرة وكتب ذات أجزاء متعددة هذا ما أمكنني من حصره، وأشتهر بشرحه لأصول الكافي المسمى بهدي العقول والذي يعد من أكبر شروحات الكافي.
