مشكلات الحضارة... شروط النهضة، طبع لأول مرة باللغة الفرنسية عام (1367 هجري- 1948 ميلادي) ويلخص المشروع الفكري لمالك بن نبي، ذلك المشروع الذي يقوم على محورية الفكرة الدينية في صناعة التاريخ وفي التغيير الاجتماعي وقد سلك منهجا تحليليا اجتماعيا ونفسيا يمزج بين العلاقات الاجتماعية والمعرفة الإنسانية والغيب والطبيعة والتاريخ ويؤكد أن مشكلة الأمة في جوهرها (مشكلة حضارة) وحلها هو استعمال مفاتيح أساسية هي الإنسان والتراب والزمن، ممتزجة بالفكرة الدينية، بها يمكن تحقيق النهضة والدخول إلى التاريخ وقدم عرضا نقديا لنظريات بناء الحضارة.
