كتاب يلقي الضوء على ملامح من سيرة رشيد نخله ودوره كأمير للزجل في نهضة هذا الفن الشعبي اللبناني ودفعه إلى الإشراق ونقله من المناسبة الاجتماعية الضيقة والوصف السردي وحوارات التحدي والرثاء والمديح، إلى رحابة الشعر الخلاق في سلاسة لفظ وجمال سبك وعميق الفكر، \"فتناقلته الناس في المشرقين وهتفت أصداؤه في الخافقين\" واحتل مكان الصدارة وخصصت له الصحف والمؤلفات، محكي وصل اليوم العالمية وأصبح، بحق، المدماك الأساس في شعر وقد كان \"رشيد نخلة\" (1873-1939) شاعر، أديب، صحافي وزعيم سياسي نفي إلى فلسطين سنة 1915 مع فريق من أعيان لبنان وبعد ثمانية أشهر عاد ليشكل حركة الفدائيين اللبنانيين في بيت الدين ولما آلت للمعارف والأوقاف والأديان والمصالح العامة، البلاد إلى أيدي الحلفاء عين رئيسا للقلم العربي، ثم مديرا فمفتشا للأمن العام ومحافظا لمدينة صور... للزجل اللبناني.
