تكمن في كونه يسلط الضوء على جانب مهم من جوانب التاريخ السياسي والحضاري لثاني دولة إباضية في المغرب الإسلامى. الخاتمة بعد أن وصلنا إلى نهاية هذه الدراسة التي عرضنا فيها {مظاهر الحياة السياسية والحضارية لمدينة تاهرت فى عصر الدولة الرستمية} (160 هـ-296 هـ-777م-909 م)، كان لابد علينا من وقفة ختامية نستعرض فيها أهم النتائج التي توصلنا إليها من خلال هذا البحث وذلك على النحو الأتي : (1) استطاع أتباع الفرقة الإباضية بعد كفاح مرير تأسيس الدولة الرستمية الإباضية نحو عام 162هـ-779م ،كما تم اختيار الإباضية للمغرب الأوسط كمكان لنشر دعوتهم بسبب ملاحقة العباسيين لهم بالمغرب الأدنى، فقرروا إيجاد موطن خاص بهم و حينها بايعوا عبد الرحمن بن رستم الذي اختار مدينة تاهرت كمركز لنشر المذهب الإباضي وقد عمرت أكثر من قرن وثلث ،وقضى عليها الفاطميون على يد عبدالله الشيعى عام 296هـ909م.
