يتناول الكتاب (الآخر في شعر المتنبي) والذي قامه بتأليفه (د. سعد حمد يونس الراشدي) في حوالي (207 صفحة) من القطع المتوسط موضوع (تاريخ ونقد الشعر العربي في العصر العباسي الثاني ونقد وتفسير أبو الطيب المتنبي) وهو مؤلف مخصص ودراسة توضح أن الحديث عن المتنبي لا ينضب على الرغم مما كتب عنه ويكتب لما في شعره من ثراء صار أوضح من أن يوصف-أما الحديث عن الآخر فهو حديث يطول نظرا لتشعب من عاني (الآخر) وتنوعها وتعددها بحسب المدارس والرؤى الفكرية والمنطلقات المذهبية التي انبثقت منها.
