في كتابه هذا يغطي المؤرخ الصقار محمد البرقان بن صعب بن برجس الخضير تاريخ وأمجاد قبيلة بني صخر فيذكر أصولهم ومواقفهم وبطونهم وأنسابهم ومرابط خيلهم كما يقدم نبذة لكل واحد من سلاطينهم ومنهم الأمير الخضر والشيخان كما يسلط الضوء على قائمة الصر لقبيلة بني صخر والواردة في السجل الصر العثماني لعام 1192 ه - 1978 م ) وفيها أسماء شيوخ قبيلة بني صر ومنهم الشيخ محمد بن بريص الخضير والشيخ محمود بن قني الخضير والشيخ محمد بن حيا وغيرهم ثم ينتقل إلى القضاة العشائرية قبل الإمارة وبعد الإمارة في الأردن فيذكر القاضي أبو ذروة والقاضي عويد البرقان في الإبل.
