تناول الكتاب الحجرة النبوية الشريفة والتي تضم الجسد الشريف لخير خلق الله سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم و صاحبيه : خليفة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سيدنا أبي بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه وخليفة رسول الله الثاني سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه هي موضوع هذا الكتاب. تناول الكتاب تاريخ الحجرة النبوية الشريفة وعمارتها وآدابها والأوقاف المحبوسة عليها وتجميرها وتطييبها والصفة التي عليها القبور الشريفة على وفق ما ذكرته المصادر من الروايات و ما اشتهر فيها من معالم : كالصندوق والمسمار والكسوة والمصاحف وما احتوته من النفائس والمقتنيات طيلة تاريخها. كما تناول عمارة المقصورة النحاسية للحجرة النبوية الشريفة التى بناها السلطان قايتباي عام 888 هـ / 1483 م وبقيت حتى يومنا هذا.
