كتاب (قواعد لتوجيه الفكر) لمؤلفه \"رينيه ديكارت\"، تناول فيه القواعد الأساسية التي استخلصها لتوجيه الفكر الإنساني نحو معرفة أفضل ويتبنى ديكارت فيه فكرة توحيد المعارف كلها فيقول ليست العلوم جميعا سوى الحكمة الإنسانية وهي عينها تظل واحدة مهما تنوعت المواضيع التي تبحث فيها، يبني الفيلسوف رينيه ديكارت قواعد للفكر، فكلما استطاع العقل أن يراجع مسلماته، كلما احتاج إلى قواعد سترفدها من العلوم والمعارف التي تسعى جميعها إلى تحصيل الحكمة الإنسانية وإذا كان العقل لدى ديكارت ملكة نميز بها تمييزا قيميا ومعياريا بين الخير والشر والقبيح والجميل، فإنه أعدل الأشياء توزعا بين الناس وهو ما يستدعي تفكيرا متواصلا في أهميته وطرائق استخدامه وطرح سؤال كيفية التفكير، فليس المهم أن نمتلك العقل وإنما تكمن الأهمية في حسن استخدامه ويسهل الكتاب على القارئ اكتساب القواعد الديكارتية في توجيه العقل، بهدف اكتساب المنهج ومعرفة منزلة العقل في الحياة.
