والكتاب الجديد يتضمّن رسائل وخواطر كتبها أطفال عمان إلى حضرة صاحب الجلالة السلطان قابوس بن سعيد المعظم - حفظه الله ورعاه- وأعلنت جريدة الرؤية عن إصدار الكتاب في العيد الوطني الثامن والأربعين المجيد، احتفاء بهذه المناسبة الوطنية الغالية، وإسهاما من الجريدة في منح الفرصة لأطفال عمان كي يعبروا عن مشاعر الولاء والعرفان للأب الحنون جلالة السلطان المعظم - أيده الله- وأعد الكتاب الأديبة بسمة الخاطرية والأديب مهند العاقوص؛ حيث تلقوا المئات من الرسائل بتوقيع أطفال عمان، وتمّ اختيار عدد كبير منها حتى بلغ عدد صفحات الكتاب زهاء 140 صحفة من القطع المتوسط.
