غايته إيجاد أسرة قائمة على أبديا إن من اهتمام الإسلام بالأسرة أن جعل عقد الزواج عقدا المحبة والمودة والرحمة والسكينة والطمأنينة، وقد يعترض هذا الزواج ما يعكر صفوه، ويقلبه إلى جحيم لا يطاق، فيؤدي إلى الطلاق، وقد يطلق الزوج زوجته وهو غير كاره لها، وهي ليست لها لخاطرها المنكسر، وتعويضا للمرأة، وجبرا كارهة له، لذلك شرع الإسلام متعة الطلاق تطييبا عن الضرر الذي لحق بها، وتخفيفا للألم الذي أصابها بسبب الطلاق.
