يستطرد الكاتب في الحديث عن طفولته وعن الشخصيات التي أثرت في نفسه وخاصة الملك عبد الله الثاني الذي التقاه عام 1938 وما أحدثه ذلك من تأثير على مسيرة حياته فيما بعد كما عاصر الملك الراحل الحسين بن طلال وتقلد عدة مناصب فكان رئيسا للوزراء ووزيرا للصحة والتربية كما عمل مديرا عاما للمؤسسة الطبية العلاجية ومستشارا للملك وطبيبه الخاص وكذلك شغل منصب رئيس الجامعة الأردنية وكان على رأس الوفد المفاوض في مدريد وواشنطن وفي النهاية فيعد هذا الكتاب شريط ذكريات يستعرضه أحد أهم شخصيات الأردن عبد السلام المجالي.
